✦ THE BIGGER PICTURE
02 / Why this matters
Colleges evolve alongside the professions they prepare students to enter. When choosing an academic path, students benefit from examining the curriculum, opportunities for research or applied work and how easily they can combine interests across departments.
Question to consider: When comparing colleges, what matters most beyond the major’s name: specific classes, advising, research access or internships?
✓ TAKE ACTION
03 / Your next step
- Explore the courses required for two majors that interest you.
- Look for hands-on experience opportunities available to undergraduates.
- Write down questions to ask a student or professor during a campus visit.
Check the latest official information before relying on eligibility rules, schedules or services.
