✦ THE BIGGER PICTURE
02 / Why this matters
This pathway connects several steps that can otherwise feel disconnected: high-school exploration, college credit, paid employment and professional certification. It also illustrates why good mentorship matters for new teachers and the younger students they support.
Question to consider: What would make it easier for a high-school student to explore a profession before committing to a degree?
✓ TAKE ACTION
03 / Your next step
- Talk to an educator about what a typical school day involves.
- Research paid pathways, apprenticeships and early-college opportunities.
- Consider tutoring or classroom volunteering as a way to explore education careers.
Check the latest official information before relying on eligibility rules, schedules or services.
