✦ THE BIGGER PICTURE
02 / Why this matters
Research begins with curiosity, but it becomes persuasive through careful methods, transparent evidence and thoughtful presentation. The most valuable learning often comes from revising a question after discovering that the first explanation is incomplete.
Question to explore: Choose one practical local question: urban heat, rainfall runoff, transportation or access to public resources. Sketch a measurement plan before gathering any data.
✓ TRY THIS
03 / Your next step
- Identify a research question that can be investigated safely.
- Find a mentor or teacher willing to comment on your methods.
- Practice explaining your project in three minutes without technical jargon.
Information can change; check official program requirements or event updates before making plans.
