Mission Statement
InformedYouth’s mission is to empower students and families through community-centered education, mentorship, and career exploration, expanding access to academic, career, and STEM pathways and equipping youth with the knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about their futures.

Our Story
InformedYouth was created to give young people the guidance and opportunities they need to explore their academic and professional potential. Many students face uncertainty about career options, college pathways, or how to connect with mentors and resources that can help them succeed. InformedYouth bridges that gap by bringing students, families, educators, and industry professionals together in meaningful ways.

Through career pathway talks, students meet professionals from a variety of fields, learning about real-world careers and the steps needed to pursue them. Mentoring programs provide ongoing support, offering guidance, academic advice, and exposure to professional environments. STEM camps give students hands-on experiences in robotics, engineering, and problem-solving, sparking curiosity and building skills for the future. Fundraising initiatives, including scholarship programs, have helped hundreds of students gain financial support for postsecondary education. Meanwhile, newsletters, podcasts, and community events keep families informed and connected, ensuring that students have access to the knowledge and resources they need to make confident decisions about their future.

By fostering connections, building awareness, and creating opportunities, InformedYouth is helping students take meaningful steps toward academic achievement and professional success—while strengthening the community that supports them along the way.

Members

InformedYouth was founded by Emily Liu to expand access to educational and career opportunities for youth. As Founder and CEO, Emily creates programs that connect students with mentorship, STEM experiences, and career exploration, helping them make informed decisions about their futures.

Through workshops, camps, and community initiatives, InformedYouth empowers young people with the knowledge, skills, and resources to succeed academically and professionally.
